Her mom doesn’t like the last one…I showed it to her on the camera and she said she looked like a boy…but I LIKED it! I have pictures of both of my girls in this dew-rag and I LOVE those pictures
I was able to take pictures of this sweet, sweet girl! Really, I was feeling so lucky to do that BECAUSE…she was just sealed to her parents/family in the Temple. Which if you know me, that is so dear to my heart! I love her mom too…we have A LOT in common…it was so fun hanging out with her and her little girl for a few hours. Isn’t her little one just the cutest!?! She melted my heart

Obee-kaybee….here is the deal-e-o….I am wanting to start building up my photography business and I know that a lot of people don’t want to book during the cold months here in Utah and that is understandable since I am not a winter person myself. BUT…I am wanting to start building it up so that come Spring and Summer my name is out there. So I am going to bribe people with my giveaways!!! I am thinking I am going to do a giveaway at least every couple of months maybe more (and it might be photography related or not). I am also thinking that I am going to do a model search within the next couple of months so stay tuned for that as well. I will desperately need all of your help with that and referring people to my site. It is my hope and my goal that within the next couple of months (or at least by June) to save every penny with my watches and photography and get the new Canon 5d mark II as well as studio lights that will be portable to bring on location to shoot indoors (or we can always shoot at my house…I’m totally fine with that). I always feel it is much better to say your goals out loud so that you are held to it! I WILL make this happen These will be my next 2 big purchases…oh…and I shouldn’t forget to mention that I am going to have someone VERY special teach me the ins and outs of photography (and she knows who she is) as well as photoshop. I am DYING to learn more and I always feel like there is so much to improve on! So I am hoping by summer I will be well on my way of being a better photographer. So I have been really bad at blogging…maybe that is an understatement! I have been SOOO lucky to be able to be taking pictures of my sweet girls…a LOT! My little sweety even said to me today: “MOM, I’m going to put my tutu on so you can take pictures of me, okay?” WHAT??? Is that okay? Ummm…I’d say so So there I was in all my glory shooting away and she was hamming it up big time. She didn’t like any of my poses only her poses! So here are some pictures I got! And…I know, I know about the giveaway…well, besides taking pictures, I LOVE to make watches. I am completely obsessed and this is just another reason I only take limited sessions…I’m busy with this too I sell them in salons and they have done awesome! I typically sell them for $40.00 ($28.00 for the bands and $12 for the watch face). They are interchangeable. So…I am going to be giving one away….I have to figure out the wording of my contest but I will at least show you the one I am going to give away! I should have it all worked out by the end of this week! So…ya think I would have posted this earlier but I was SOOOO enjoying the Christmas and New Year season! Even though we all got some kind of stomach flu we are all pretty much better and are ready to start the new year out with a bang! My new year resolution is very simple this year…it is to take more pictures of my girls one on one with me in the picture May sound dorky but after all, that is truthfully why I fell in love with photography! Once you start taking pictures of other people the love of taking pictures of your own family disappears a bit….so my goal is to not let that happen! I have a fun freebie in the works so check back to find out how I am going to be starting this new year!!!
